How do I work through this course?
Starting on February 2nd, 2026, you'll get one lesson every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in your email inbox for one year.

The lessons are text based and simple to follow - you won't be spending time you could be writing watching countless videos. We want the time you spend in this course to be on your writing, and the lessons reflect that.

We'll have a couple of monthly and quarterly live calls to touch base throughout the process:

- Live Q&A/Accountability Call @ 4pm EST on the 4th Tuesday of every month.
- Scene-based Feedback Workshop @ 4pm EST on the 4th Saturday of every month.
- 1-Page Live Edits @ 4pm EST on the 4th Tuesday in March, June, September, and December.

What is the format of the Novel Idea lessons?
All the Novel Idea lessons are text based.

Each lesson explains a step in the writing process and gives you a clear assignment to complete. You'll get the lessons dripped out to you three times a week throughout 2026.
What if I fall behind?
It is only suggested that you take this course at a pace that would have you finish in one year.

If you fall behind, you'll always have access to the past lessons whenever you need to revisit them.
What if my story isn't good enough? What if I'm wasting my time?
Fear of not being good enough can definitely be debilitating.

But you never actually know unless you try, right?

So much of the actual writing process is just between you and your story. There’s very low risk there.

If you enjoy writing, my best advice for you is to continue to tell that fear that it’s a future you problem.

Just focus on getting the story on paper.
